The MecTest is designed
for use in selecting candidates for maintenance and repair positions. It
assesses an individual’s knowledge and skills as a maintenance mechanic. The MecTest
is intended for positions where practical mechanical knowledge and skill are
necessary parts of maintenance job activities. The test is comprised of 60
multiple-choice items and takes less than an hour to complete.

Report Scoring
The test-taker’s performance
is compared with a normative sample of 201 employed mechanics. Number of items
correct and percentile rank are reported for each knowledge area as well as for
the test as a whole
