The MainTest is a
comprehensive diagnostic test of maintenance skills. It is designed to measure
the practical mechanical and electrical knowledge of maintenance employees. It
can be used for both job applicants and incumbents for positions in which
mechanical and electrical knowledge are necessary. The test is comprised of 155
multiple-choice items and takes less than two and a half hours to complete.

Report Scoring
The test takers performance
is compared with a normative national sample of 1431 maintenance employees and
applicants. Number of items correct and percentile rank are reported for each
knowledge area as well as for the test as a whole.
