Today Performance Assessment Network (pan) was awarded a significant
contract by the Public Service Commission of Canada (PSC) to design and host an
internet-based test, assessment and survey delivery system. The contract
requires pan to web-enable a catalogue of proprietary tests used
by the PSC for screening potential governmental hires in Canada and worldwide.
The tests and delivery systems will be delivered in both English & French
Canadian within a customized online assessment center designed exclusively by pan
for PSC.
"We are gratified and excited that the Federal Government
of Canada has chosen pan as their partner to assist them with the
task of moving their assessment and hiring system capabilities to a secure
web-based model. This relationship
confirms pans best-of-class capabilities and technology within
the test and measurement industry," said pan CEO Dr. David
Pfenninger.
The PSC will leverage the platform developed by pan
and currently used by over 2000 corporate, government, and educational users.
Through a Private Label service, the PSC will be able to adapt their
proprietary tests to the pan processing platform while
maintaining the look and feel of their own website. "The PSC saw the value, both in time and cost, of our Private
Label service. With the Private Label they receive a proven platform that can
be deployed in a fraction of the time and at much lower cost than it would take
to try and build such a system from the ground up," noted pan CMO Greg Lamb.
The PSC will use the system for pre-employment
screening of all potential employees replacing their current paper and pencil
model. Tests will not only be delivered to facilities in Canada but also to
Canadian embassies around the world. The PSC estimates it will realize a
60%-70% cost savings per screen.
