pan and Reid Systems form e-Testing partnership
September 8, 2000. Indianapolis, IN Adding to its already impressive roster of content partners, Performance Assessment Network
(pan) has signed an agreement with Chicago-based Reid Systems allowing
pan to license and distribute many of Reids well-known employee selection tests. The addition of the 15 Reid tests brings the total number of tests licensed by
pan to over
250.
The assessments that
pan has licensed from Reid are primarily employee selection tests that range from those designed to work well within any business to industry-specific pre-screening tests. These test products include the well-known Reid Report integrity measure for retailers, specialized selection tests aimed at the healthcare and public safety industries, and several customer service and sales profiling tools. As in all of its relationships,
pan will web-enable the Reid tests and offer them on its web site at
www.pantesting.com. Full descriptions of these tests can also be found on the site.
Reid has long legacy of developing some of the best known and respected selection and integrity tests in the industry, comments
pan CEO David Pfenninger. Having a market leader such as Reid choose
pan as their e-testing partner just adds further validation to the approach we have taken with the
pan system, and the enormous market presence of the Reid tests is a fact we are obviously pleased with as well, added
pan COO and Vice President of Sales and Marketing Greg Lamb.
Reid Systems is very pleased to enter into this relationship with
pan. The combination of our package of pre-employment screening tools and
pans secure e-testing platform offers a superb option for users of Reid assessments, commented Stephen Coffman, President and CEO of Reid Systems.
About the Companies
Reid Systems was founded in 1947 by John E. Reid, an attorney and criminologist who pioneered the modern techniques of interrogation and pencil-and-paper integrity testing. Mr. Reid has often been referred to as the Father of the Polygraph, because he was responsible for improving the device and designing the interviewing methodology which made the polygraph an effective interrogation tool. After licensing the technological improvements to the polygraph, Mr. Reid teamed up with Fred Inbau, Professor Emeritus at Northwestern School of Law and started to identify patterns in behavior and psychological attitudes. The result of his efforts was the Reid Report for use in evaluating prospective employees, which in 1950 became the first commercially available written integrity test.
During the last 20 years, Reid Systems has experienced unprecedented growth and technological advancement through new product development and the addition of new services, technologies and capabilities. Reids clients come from more than a dozen different countries and many different industries, including retail, hospitality, manufacturing, service, transportation and healthcare.
